Jazz’s Collin Sexton finishes vs. Pacers with sprained ankle

Salt Lake City – Utah Jazz Guard Collin Sexton sprained his left ankle as he drove hard to the basket with 9:47 back in the first quarter against Indiana Pacers on Monday night.

Sexton, which is Utah’s second leading goal scorer on average 18.7 points per Battle, couldn’t run after that. He collapsed on the field before reaching the bench when jazz called timeout to get him out of the game.

Before the quarter was over, Jazz announced that Sexton was out to the game and that he will be evaluated on Tuesday.

Sexton is one of the most reliably healthy Utah players. He has missed only two games this season, both to rest, in a reconstruction season where any other jazz has regularly missed several matches with injuries.
