Siakam’s late wave leads Indiana to 112-111 comeback victory over Utah

Salt Lake City (AP) -Pascal Siakam scored 10 of its 22 points in the fourth quarter to help Indiana Pacers beat Utah Jazz 112-111 Monday night for their fourth equal victory.

Tyrese Haliburton scored 18 for Pacers playing without Myles Turner after the center was a late scratch because of an ankle injury. Obi Toppin and Aaron Nesmith each had 13 points.

John Collins and Jordan Clarkson both scored 21 for jazz (11-37), who have dropped nine of 10.

Utah Guard Collin Sexton sprained his left ankle in the opening minutes and did not return. Isaiah Collier and Keyonte George combined for 27 points and 21 assists, but made mistakes down the route showing their inexperienced.

Jazz led 101-89 at Collier’s 3-Pointer with 6:52 to play, but was outscored 23-10 down the stretch as Pacers turned the pressure up.

Takeaways

Pacers: Indiana had scored at least 130 points three games in a row, but Pacers’ long -range shooting left them (23.8% from 3). So they made their comeback by going in and getting out into the transition.

Jazz: Error in late game costs Utah again. After Collins gave Utah his last lead of 106-105, Jazz had two revenue and missed two tough shots. Lauri Markkanen wrong on two free throw with 17 seconds left.

Keying moment

With Utah down two and urgently, Andrew Nembhard Siakam found a wide open dunk with 5.1 seconds left to lift pacers to a 112-108 lead.

Key State

Jazz exceeded Pacers 60-37, but Pacers forced 19 revenue and scored 26 quick points to Utah’s 11.

Up next

The pacers are in Portland on Tuesday night. The jazz ends their four-game home against the Golden State on Wednesday.
