Boothstown and Worsley Housing Plan could ‘stagnate area’

Some green-belt land has been released under Greater Manchester’s Housing Plan, Places for all (PFE)At External.

More than 1,600 locals have objected to PEELS plans and more than 20 to Salboy’s use.

Garrido said the area simply couldn’t handle more homes.

“This is now completely destroying society in Boothstown and Worsley from a quality of life, and people are able to drive in and out of the area,” he said.

“Buses are stuck in traffic, they can’t stick to the schedule, so we’ve lost the bus connection.

“The area is going to stagnate and people will start moving out.”
