Utah Jazz Vs Indiana Pacers: Recap and Final Score

Utah Jazz spent most of the game in front of Indiana Pacers, but came up short at the end of 112-111.

For Utah, one of the main reasons why they came short was an early injury to Collin Sexton, who left with a turned ankle early. Sexton’s influence on this team is sometimes tangible with his ability to score quickly and effectively. His style of play could help lots of teams in the league. But with an ankle rotation that he suffered, does it hurt his trade value? A team that acts for Sexton is probably looking for a win-now feature. If Sexton is injured is it ruining his trade value? We see this Thursday.

The player who continues to play at a high level is John Collins. It’s time to stop talking about Collins’ contract because he’s worth every dollar. Collins in this shot 9/18 from the field with 21 points and 12 rebounds. It is an impressive level of work and resilience from John Collins that has shown nothing but hard work and high character. It is also incredible work from the Jazz Front Office and wants Hardy. Collins has transformed into a player who was almost free for jazz and will now have jazz a kind of asset (s). Because Utah’s record is what it is, Collins doesn’t get much buzzing at the most improved player price. It’s a shame because he definitely deserves recognition. His game level has been great for Utah.

There were other notable performances from young jazz players. Walker Kessler, who continues to put big-time rebounding numbers. Tonight he had 13 to go with 3 blocks. Isaiah Collier also shows great potential with a double-double (11 points, 10 assists). Finally, Utah got an almost triple double from Keyonte George with 16 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds. Utah continues to develop her young talent and, if it gives them time, will start to see even more benefits as they continue to improve.

As I mentioned before, the trade deadline is this week and we will see what the jazz ends up doing. They have to find a way to make traits that build draft capital while also giving their young players chances of developing. But the most important thing for jazz is to continue working against a top election in the draft. Utah has a chance of transformation talent and they must remember that every game. Tonight they sneak out a loss, but the losses are getting harder to get by as other teams start throwing their seasons away. Utah cannot be caught flat -footed or they could see all their work sliding away.
