Porter Airlines comes to Hamilton’s Airport: Sources

Chch News has learned Porter Airlines will start operating out of John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport.

Porter’s addition to the airport is scheduled to be announced at 1 p.m. 11 Tuesday as part of an expansion of several million dollars of the plant.

Airlines such as Flair, Play and SWOOP and others have started – and stopped – flying in and out of Hamilton’s airport in the previous number of years, but a source with direct knowledge of the agreement not authorized to speak in public, says this investment is far different and larger than previous airline launches in the city.

A handful of daily flights from play, Sunwing and Westjet are currently the only available passenger flights.
