Kate photographed by Prince Louis to mark World Cancer Day

A photograph of the princess of Wales taken by her six -year -old son Prince Louis has been released to mark World Cancer Day on Tuesday.

The picture shows Catherine in a frosty forest scene, arms open and well wrapped and was taken in Windsor in recent weeks.

Alongside the picture, the princess released the words: “Don’t forget to care for all that is beyond the disease.”

The picture is said by Kensington Palace to reflect where spending time in nature has been important to the princess, who in January announced that she is in remission from cancer.

This is the first photo that Louis has taken that has been shared on royal social media channels when he follows in the footsteps of his mother, who has been an enthusiastic photographer.

Over the weekend, Catherine called for a “rebalance” in society to allow people to prioritize their physical and mental health.

She gradually returns to work after completing her cancer treatment – and launched a new phase in her early year’s educational project that encourages more empathy and kindness.

“At times, it may feel like the world is full of mistrust and misunderstanding, leaving many people to feel isolated and vulnerable in difficult times,” she wrote in her charity report.

She brought a message of support to those who currently underwent cancer treatment when she visited Royal Marsden Hospital in western London last month, where she had been a patient.

This latest photograph is another indication of her continued support, in front of World Cancer Day, and how much she seems to have been motivated to help others by her own experience of ill health.
