The trailer ‘Fantastic Four’ is an adjective you can guess

Disney has finally released Fantastic Four: First Steps Trailerthat brings Marvel’s first family to MCU in the biggest addition to the universe in an unusually long time. It is likely that since Avengers himself was first gathered.

The initial place is a minute and a half long, and although yes, this is an MCU project, this movie (at least at first) is taking place in a completely separate universe, other superheroes around.

But the amazing four end up meeting Thor and Hulk and all the others are trying to see, without a doubt in Avengers: Doomsday, but there is something refreshing about something that is completely divorced from everything else like this. And of course we get our first look at its stars’ role crew, some of the most popular names in Hollywood right now, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch and the Things. Unless I missed a moment here, we see the last three members using their powers, but we don’t see Reed Richards doing any stretch. Interesting choice.

We get an extended look at Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s things, which are trapping and something pretty hard to pull off. He and the special effects seem to do so. I really love the sound of rocks smuggling together as he clapped. Those are the little things.

There are great things too. It includes Galactus threateningly over the city. However, there are no silver surfer yet. There are also no real fight scenes at all, which is fine for a first place like this. It all assembles in a fantastic package that is already very well received by fans, despite assumed “MCU fatigue”, which is often proven to not be a real thing as Deadpool and Wolverine just demonstrated last year.

It seems extremely likely that Fantastic Four will be a big hit for Marvel, probably bigger than either Captain America: Brave New World or Thunderbolts. Not necessarily because it will be better, but because it is a really big thing that this group hits MCU and if all trailers are so good, you can bet that everyone will definitely show up. The film is out on July 25, 2025, so it is less than six months until we see how it plays out. But expect more trailers and much more promotion before then.
