Brave New World Star Harrison Ford teases Red Hulk’s future and a match with the hulk

After spending decades of dodging questions about his roles in Star Wars and Indiana Jones Franchise, Harrison Ford has joined MCU … which probably means he will now spend the rest of his career returning as Red Hulk.

The global press conference for Captain America: Brave New World took place this weekend and ComicBookmovie.com was available for the event (we share some comments we got from Lead Star Anthony Mackie soon).

During this, Ford was asked about his future as “Thunderbolt” Ross and confirmed that he is eager to surprise the role … which presumably means Red Hulk survives the events in Captain America: Brave New World!

“I hope he can come back,” The legendary actor teased. “I hope (there is) a story where he can develop into something other than Red Hulk. I think we have the capacity to change shape between hollow kisses and humanity, but it’s really not my department.”

“I was very happy with the opportunity to play at this playground,” Ford added. “What amazing group of people to work with and what an imaginative reality. I was looking forward to having a piece of the action.”

Something we’ve seen Ford DO in several interviews now is credit by deceased William Hurt to lay the basis for him to take over the role of an antagonist who was first introduced in the 2008s The incredible hulk.

“I would like to think the character was a good fit for me. I was honored to be able to do my work on top of a foundation that a wonderful actor, Bill Hurt, provided the character,” Ford shared. “And the story is a wonderful expansion of the stories that Thunderbolt Ross has been a part of.”

“I’ve seen Marvel movies and seen actors that I really liked, really admired, have fun. And I thought, ‘Hi, I want me some of it.'”

As for his approach to transforming to Red Hulk, he revealed, “I just went after it. And no one stopped me.”

In a separate interview with Jakes takeFord was asked who he thinks would win in a match between Red Hulk and Mark Ruffalo’s Jade Giant. You just know he LOVE Questions like that and answered with a funny, “It falls into ‘Who shot first?’ Category, so the answer is greed!
