Bronny James Snubbed from All-Star Weekend in the middle of G League Focus

Bronny James’s Way through the NBA has hit remarkable intersections recently, with the rookie guard, who gets headlines for both his task for G League and was not included in the 2025 NBA All-Star celebrations. The news that broke on January 28th confirmed that Lakers had planned this strategic step for their second round election, with Bronny, who was to debut for South Bay Lakers.

Fans had eagerly expected to see Bronny on the field at Rising Stars Challenge – a showcase for the league’s most promising rookies – but was disappointed when his name did not appear on the guard schedule. Instead, his Lakers teammate, Dalton Knecht, was among those chosen to compete against other rookies, Sophomores and G-League players. The Rising Stars lineup included up-and-present talents such as Zach Edey, Bub Carrington and 2025 Rookie of the Year Favorite Stephon Castle.
