Minnesota 69-61 Penn State (4th February 2025) Game Recap

University Park, PA .– Dawson Garcia scored 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds and Reserve Brennan Rigsby scored 14 points, and Minnesota withdrew from Penn State at the end of a 69-61 victory on Tuesday night.

Rigsby was perfectly shooting at 5 for 5 including 2 for 2 from 3-point reach and made both of its bad shots. Lu’cye Patterson added 14 points to Golden Gophers (12-11, 4-8 Big Ten), which broke a two-match’s losing row.

Reserve d’Arco Dunn led Penn State (13-10, 3-9) with 18 points. Ace Baldwin Jr. And Zach Hicks each scored 11 points and Nick Kern Jr. 10.

Kern’s two free throwing with 9:04 remaining marked Nittany Lions’ last lead of 46-44 because Mike Mitchell on Minnesota’s subsequent possession made a 3-pointer to a one-point advantage.

Patterson made two bad shots and Rigsby made a 3 for a 52-46 benefit. Dunn’s set-up with 6:44 Remaining Reduced Penn State’s deficit to 52-48, but Nittany Lions never got closer.

Penn State has lost four equal and eight of its last nine

Minnesota plays next Saturday when it hosts 23. Ranked Illinois. Penn State is traveling to UCLA to play Bruins on Saturday.
