Rockets blowing 4-point lead in 5 seconds in loss of meltdown to yarn

It’s lost and then there’s what Houston Rockets did on Tuesday. Opposite Brooklyn Nets on the road, Rockets hosted two different multi-score lines in the last 90 seconds in a loss of 99-97. The biggest gaffe came in the last 10 seconds.

Down 97-93 the nets launched the ball to Cameron Johnson, who made a catch-and-shoot 3-pointer to cut the lead to a point. The rockets were still on the field for a win as long as they inmate the ball and made their free throw, but an in -depth care from Amen Thompson to Fred Vanvleet jumped away and in the hands of d’Angelo Russell.

Russell sank the 3-pointer with 3.4 seconds left to send the Barclays Center to a madness.

Jalen Green continued to miss a last GASP 3-Pointer to save a win.

Green had her own problem a minute earlier when Rockets head coach Ime Udoka screamed “What are you doing?!“After he took a disputed 3-point instead of later for the nets.

The finish wasted a 24-point, 20-bound, 4-assist-evening from Rockets Center Alperen Sengun.

After the game, Udoka accused a few things that definitely sound like something a coach should be responsible for:

“More of the same. Lack of physical, toughness. All these things. We didn’t really deserve to win the game. Basketball gods got us at the end.”

Meanwhile Nets Wing Keon Johnson credited Udoka to motivate his own teamWhen the coach drew Brooklyn’s Ire as he referred to them as one ”Keep at low level“:

“Everyone took it personally just because we come in every day and compete. … just to read something similar, it was just a lot of fuel on the fire.”

With the loss, Rockets has fallen four straight matches and now sits on 32-18, well to the third at the western conference. However, only five matches separate them and 27-23 Minnesota Timberwolves to the first play-in place in the West.
