‘Connections’ February 4: Tip and Response to Puzzles #604

Connections Skyrocket to popularity in 2023 when it was launched by New York Times. Today is the newspaper’s second most popular game behind Wordle.

Last year, Wyna Liu – New crossword editor who also helped develop Connections –talked about the worldwide phenomenon with Newsweek.

“The response has been really incredible and overwhelming and unexpected,” Liu said in June. “It’s exciting that something I keep very deeply about is to resonate with people.”

As for how each game is created, Liu said “Each table should be made from scratch”, and notice, “I usually don’t know where a table will go. It really does long to fudge things and try different angles.”

If you find today’s puzzle particularly difficult, Newsweek Have your back with useful tips. However, it should be noted that the answers to today’s games are also listed below, so if you would like to find out for yourself, we recommend you roll carefully.

How to play ‘connections’

To start brainasin, players get a table with 16 words. These words should be divided into four groups of four and placed in categories based on a common topic. Each category is associated with a color – rich, green, blue and purple. Yellow is the easiest category, while purple is the hardest and green and blue are medium -sized difficulties.

In Monday’s puzzle, for example, were the words “Skive”, “Twist”, “Wedge” and “Zest” related to “a little citrus garnish.” This was a blue category.

Once the players have decided their words, they click each expression and press the “Send” button. If the words are correct, they appear in their category color and are removed from the board. If they are wrong, they remain on the board.

If users find themselves getting stuck, pressing the “Shuffle” button will mix.

Fortunately, there is no time limit for the game, although players have only four guesses to solve the puzzle before the answers are revealed.
