Rochester, Minn. (KTTC) – A wintry blend, snow and freezing of drizzle will be possible on Wednesday. Roads could get smooth in the afternoon and evening.

A mixture of snow, freezing drizzle and gossip will affect the region on Wednesday afternoon. Accumulations will be smaller, but roads may be smooth during the evening’s commuting. For areas along and north of I-90, snow and a winter mix will be the primary concerns. Areas of northern Iowa could have a glaze of ice on untreated surfaces.

The best chance of icy conditions will be in northern Iowa, extending from Mason City to Decorah. Spotted freezing drip will be possible for areas north of I-90, it will not be as widespread.

Snowfall amounts remain less than half an inch for most of the see mn and ne ia.

Snow Chancer returns late Friday to Saturday. Saturday will be the best chance of collecting snowfall over the top middle west.

Right now, long-range models are in good agreement with placing the heaviest snowfall along and north of I-94. Now this can always change with more data coming in. The probability is high for at least 2-3 ″ snow to areas north of I-90 Saturday.

Temperatures remain in the mid -20s to Saturday. Highs take a short dip in teenagers on Sunday to next Wednesday. Apart from Saturday, we have limited snares over the next 10 days.
