Report: kj Martin, picking goes to stamps in a pure wage dump

Update: February 5, 10:21

KJ Martin is sent to Detroit Pistons, As per the questioner’s Keith Pompey.

According to Derek Bodner from Phly, Sixers sends Piston’s two second round choices.

This one is a head-crasher. Salary dumping of a useful player-together with two second round-giving doesn’t make much sense. We’ll see how the rest of the deadline is playing out, but this one will not probably sit well with Sixers fans.

Both Martins seem to be on their way out of town as KJ Martin is allegedly set to be traded.

We just don’t know where to do or exactly the sixers get.

This news broke in parts when Phly’s Kyle Neubeck first reported that Martin was out to Sixers’ games against Dallas Mavericks Due to a pending trade.

Jake Fischer from Stein Line reported a moment later that Philadelphia is still weighing more options, with a deal that is expected to be completed the next day.

Oddly enough, it seems that the trade will be nothing but a wage dump, even if we do not know the full extent of all Sixers’ movements.

Martin was the only sixer in the injuries report that was not dealt with by the team’s first name. The only details Nick Nurse provided were that he was still the farthest away from playing significant minutes.

His last game was all the way back on December 23 against Spurs, where he suffered a stress reaction in his left foot. He had had a bit out of a breakout before then, which set a career high 65% effective field target percentage while one of the team’s most versatile defenders. He started in seven of the 24 games he showed up, including his last four, before suffering from the injury.

He was considered one of the team’s biggest trade chips the moment he signed in the summer. His annual salary of $ 7.9 million was seen as a balloon agreement to help facilitate a major trade.
