State Farm Stadium’s roof will be open for Cardinals-Bears

The roof at State Farm Stadium is expected to be open on Sunday when the Arizona Cardinals host the Chicago Bears, the team announced.

Fans were advised to dress accordingly for the 2:05 PM MST kickoff as temperatures have begun to cool after a prolonged heat wave last month.

The temperature on Sunday is expected to top out at 71 degrees around kickoff before gradually cooling down, according to National Weather Servicewhich collects its data for Glendale at the municipal airport about three miles west of the stadium.

There is also a chance of rain during the afternoon, according to the NWS.

Sunday will be the second time the roof has been open this season and will mark back-to-back home games. It was wide open for the Cardinals’ 17-15 victory on Monday Night Football on October 21st.

The Bears are 0-17 in true road games played on Sundays since head coach Matt Eberflus took the reins in 2022. However, Chicago is 3-0 all-time at State Farm Stadium.
