Winter Weather Advisory warns of freezing rain on the way to Guernsey County

National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a winter weather counseling for potentially dangerous freezing of rain from Wednesday evening across several Eastern Ohio -Trails, including Guernsey.

Winter Weather Advisory will be in force from 1 p.m. 7 pm Wednesday to 7 p.m. 16 Thursday.

“Frising rain is expected,” says the advisory. “Isaccumulation a glaze to one tenth of an inch. Less than an empty snow is also possible.”

According to a post on Weather Service’s Facebook page, ICE is expected to start falling in Guernsey County between 7 p.m. 21.00 and 11.00 Wednesday. “Fortunately, the evening rush is over, but treacherous journey is possible tonight,” notes the post. “Plan at extra time if you are driving and be sure to increase the distance between your vehicle and those that surround it.”
