Copa del Rey is the one trophy that routinely refers to Real Madrid. In the last decade, the Spanish giants have only won the competition once. Now their Tournament Berth is in balance towards a Leganes side that defeated Barcelona and Atlético Madrid for the past two months.

If Real Madrid wants to keep their hopes for a treble alive, they will have to get out on top against Leganes while missing two crucial players.

Mbappé and Bellingham do not play against Leganes because both players picked up easier injuries this weekend. Ancelotti confirmed that Mbappé is suffering from a calf hematom while Bellingham is dealing with a bank.

It is unclear when the English international picked up his injury, but he logged 262 minutes just last week alone. Mbappé’s calf injury came from a dangerous tackle from Espanyol’s Carlos Romero.

Both players remained in Madrid to recover in time for Madrid Derby on February 8th. With only one point that separates Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid on the top clash at Santiago Bernabéu.
