Dangerous glaze and travel disorders expected Thursday morning

Storm team update: An incoming weather system could create a wintry mix followed by icy conditions. This can pose dangers on roads on Thursday morning. We still collect information about this system, stays at News 12, and we put new updates when they become available.

The latest weather information, streaming into the News 12 Weather Center tonight, continues to show a wintry storm moving through the area late tonight until tomorrow morning.

Some things have changed a little since morning forecast.

It looks a little cunning. Expect 2-3 inches along and north of Interstate 78. A coating to 1-2 inches of snow along the coast.

Timing: Starts around midnight (like snow) and then a transition to gossip/ice a few hours later. Expect mainly rain from Point pleasant and south. Great mining begins to tip around 2 p.m. 9 and ends around 7 p.m. 11

The ice potential is still a potential problem in western and northern neighborhoods. The quantities of periodization look a little less than what was shown this morning. But you still need to be prepared for the possibility of treacherous conditions. Any amount of ice cream is bad.

Friday looks sunny. Take the time to prepare for the next winter event expected late Saturday to Sunday. Another storm with a track similar to the evening’s moves in with more snow and ice likely. Guidance continues to show a more potent round with snow and ice that lasts in early Sunday afternoon.

A possible third winter storm could take shape next Tuesday through Wednesday. If this storm is similar to what guidance suggests it may be, make sure the snow blue is gassed up and ready for action. It could be a very snowy start to next week.

But before we focus on it, let’s take this one storm at a time. Be sure and smart tomorrow morning. Allow extra time in the morning routine. Schools are already on delayed openings or close the day completely. If you can work from home, this may be the cautious opportunity.
