Tyronn Lue laughs at the idea that LeBron James & Luka Doncic is not working

LeBron James and Luka Doncic are now teammates at Los Angeles Lakers. Once considered a pipe dream of lakers and basketball fans pairing two of the smartest players in the world together is now a reality in Los Angeles. And while the vast majority of people are happy to see the offensive cohesion and pass on a James-Doncic-led violation, there are, as expected, some offenders.

Some say that LeBron and Luka may not be the best basketball pass form due to defensive worries and the fact that both are ball-dominant players who do their best work as primary facilitators and decision makers. Some of these concerns may be valid – especially at the defensive end – but a person who is not concerned is La Clipper’s head coach Tyronn Lue.

Lue, who led a lebron team to a 2016 championship, knows exactly what it means to have two ball-dominant stars on a team, and when he looks at Lakers, he is not at all worried about Doncic and James working. He even laughed at the idea that people think it doesn’t work.

“They’re not right. It works, ”Lue said. “When you have LeBron James, who has been the best player in the league in the last 15 years and when you have Luka, there is a top-three, top-five player in the league, they will find out how to get that to work.

“And LeBron can play with someone. The way he plays he is smart enough to understand how to play with certain guys, how to play with guys and where to choose and choose his stains. I don’t think it’s going to be a problem at all. And JJ (Redick) will do a good job of dizzling these guys so they each have their own unity; Like how we did it with Kyrie and LeBron for four quarters. They close games together. They find out. It’s not a tough problem to have, I tell you you. They make it work. ”

Head coach JJ Redick needs some time to find out the best ways to maximize both players in the rotation, but no one denies that the two superstars will be able to make it work. With shooting and lob threats that share the floor with them, they must be able to run a wildly effective violation where everything comes easily.

Luka Doncic Debut still unclear

The next question for Lakers is when they get Luka Doncic on the floor for the first time. At his initial press conference, General Manager Rob Pelinka came in front of it by saying that there are still approx. 5-to-5 days and final steps to end and the team doesn’t have an official debut date.
