Freezing rain in the forecast of Windsor essex, Chatham-Kent, Environment Canada warns

Be careful on the roads tonight, Windsor: Environment Canada warns about the opportunity to freeze rain on Wednesday night.

The agency warns that uneven freezing rain can cause smooth conditions and up to two millimeters of ice -building on the roads. The warning was released to Windsor-Esex, Leamington, Chatham-Kent and Rondeau Park.

Snow mixed with freezing rain is expected to start around midnight and continue through Thursday morning when conditions need to be improved.

“Surfaces such as motorways, roads, walkways and parking spaces can become icy and smooth. Bad weather conditions can contribute to transport delays,” warned environmental Canada.

“Be extra care when you walk or drive in affected areas.”
