Openais Chatgpt goes short down for users across the globe

Chatgpt users across the globe allegedly experienced problems with Openai Chatbot late Wednesday.

According to Down Detector, users started reporting problems at Openai around 1 p.m. 20:30

The San Francisco-based company said it was investigating the problems when users from Japan to Australia reported questions.

About 15 minutes later, the company said it “began to see improvement in API and Sora,” added, “We are continuing to investigate this problem.”

The problem seemed to be solved just before 7 p.m. 12 est. A spokesman for the company told FOX Business after midnight: “All systems are currently in operation.”

Openai responded to a large power switch to chatgpt and other applications at the end of December. The company said the question had been caused by a upstream provider, which is a company that connects to a local ISP’s network for the Internet.

Wednesday evening’s power outage comes a day after the company said it rolled an educational -specific version of its chatbot to about 500,000 students and faculties at California State University as it appears to expand its user base in the academic sector and count competition from rivals Like Google’s alphabet.
