Heavy rain moves into Mid-Ohio Valley on Wednesday night with the possibility of some thunderstorms developing overnight.

Temperatures only fall marginally tonight as we will see the temperatures at night start to rise with the cloudy sky and rain coming in. By Thursday morning we will see temperatures in the low middle 40s.

Thursday morning is a first alarm day due to the possibility of localized flooding and heavy rain that causes smooth road conditions for the morning commuting. There will also be an increased risk of hydroplaning, especially during and just after all thunderstorms come through the area. Heavy rain can also cause reduced visibility in some areas.

There is a winter weather advice in place for counties northwest of MOV, with the potential for a certain winter mix, possibly freezing rain, to fall tonight.

There is also a flooding watch in Jackson, Wirt and Ritchie counties due to the heavy rain that can cause local flooding.

Temperatures all day Thursday enter the 50s, but a cold front associated with Thursday Morning System will send temperatures back in the low 40s to Friday.

Another system comes through in the afternoon on Saturday, which brings a little more light rain to the area.

Temperatures after Saturday remain cold on the way in next week. Another system is seen early next week for the possibility of snow, but it is too early to be sure that something will fall in our area, especially with some uncertainty and discrepancies between all models.
