Tornado Drill scheduled Wednesday for hard weather preparation week

Columbus, GA. (WTVM) – February 3 to February 7 is severe weather readiness in both Georgia and Alabama. This week is used to remind residents to be prepared and how to remain in safety during severe weather season. Wednesday’s topic focuses on Tornado safety. In coordination with National Weather Service, Muscogee County sounds their outdoor warning sirens around 10 p.m. 9:30 ET.

Many schools and some companies throughout Georgia and Alabama also participate in tornado exercises on Wednesday morning.
