Three members of the Brotherhood have new teams today

It’s a great day for the fraternity as the NBA trading deadline approaches. First, Brandon Ingram is off to Toronto as Raptors sends Bruce Brown, Kelly Olynyk, plus a first and second round elections for the Pelicans.

And the Lakers gene building continues as LA sends Cam Reddish, Dalton Knecht, plus an unprotected 2031 choice of the first round and a 2030 picking trade for the former Duke Big Man Mark Williams.

Now Lakers wants LeBron James, Luka Doncic, Austin Reeves and Williams in their core along with some other useful role players. Coach JJ Redick has to be excited.

It’s an impressive reconstruction of the middle season, but it raises the question: When did Rob Pelinka get good at his job? No one has ever been overly impressed with what he has done with LA, and now he looks like Red Auerbach wheels and trade.
