Seattle power cuts: Thousands lose electricity in storm

About 25,000 inhabitants of western Washington experience power cuts as a winter storm sweep through the region, reported utilities on Thursday.

By the numbers:

From 8:15 AM Thursday: Puget Sound Energy (PSE) Reports the largest number of power cuts, with 18,864 customers affected.

Snohomish County Public Utility District (Pud) have 3,199 customers without power while Seattle City Light Reports 537 Power Cuts.

IN Jefferson County375 is without electricity and Mason County Pud3 have 102 customers affected.

The auxiliary herds are working to recover the power as soon as possible, but the ongoing serious weather conditions present challenges. Residents are advised to stay informed through official channels and prepare for extended power cuts.

According to Fox 13 Seattle Weather Team, the area had to dry out before the second half of the morning commuting with Sunshine On Tap for the second half of the day.

Temperatures are heated again until mid -30s, which should help melt any snow or ice on the main roads at noon.
