BUCKS expresses interest in adding veteran forward in front of Deadline: Report

Milwaukee Bucks made their big trade before the trade deadline. They acquired Kyle Kuzma, Patrick Baldwin Jr., and another round of choices for Khris Middleton, AJ Johnson and a pick swap.

Milwaukee wanted to make sure they got someone able to score the ball right next to Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. That’s exactly what they did with Kuzma.

Adding Kuzma gives them some non -life insurance against both of these players. Kuzma was to help give Bucks a push to make a deeper run in the playoffs than they were able to do last season,

Getting Kuzma is great, but Bucks may not have finished adding players before the trading deadline goes. They are a team that still seems to solidify the list they want.

Prior to Thursday’s deadline, Bucks may be looking to add another player to help them defensively. They have also been attached to Cody Martin.

Martin would give Bucks a relatively cheap opportunity as a wing that can defend. Martin is a player who is sought after by several teams around the league for the exact reason.

Bucks still need help with defense because Kuzma is not a good defender. While he has length, his discipline in defense causes some problems.

Adding a player like Martin from the bench would give them another guy to rely on defensively. Milwaukee has been known to suffer from defensive lapses.

Right now, Bucks 15 sits in the league with regard to permitted points per Gamp. It’s smack dab in the middle of the league.

Bucks hope to be among the ten defensive teams at the end of the season. Even if they can’t, they think their violation, with Kuzma, is added to the equation, is good enough to drive them to a deep play.

Martin is earning only $ 8.1 million this year, so it wouldn’t take much for Bucks to get him. Even if Bucks can’t bring him in, the Kuzma trade is a big one.

Martin is an average of 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per day. Fight so far this season.
