Wizards Trade G Jared Butler to 76ers, Get 1. Round Options

Washington Wizards traded Jared Butler to Philadelphia 76ers Wednesday in return for colleague guard Reggie Jackson and a 2026 election of the first round.

Sixers also receives four future elections in the second round (2027, 2028 and two in 2030) in the agreement announced before the trade period.

Butler, 24, is an average of 6.9 points and 2.6 assists in 32 games from the Washington bench this season. The fourth-year-old player has a career of 5.6 points and 2.3 assists in 120 games (two starts) with Utah Jazz (2021-22), Oklahoma City Thunder (2022-23) and Wizards.

Jackson, 34, is an average of 4.4 points through 31 games (a start) in his 14th NBA season. He has a career average of 12.3 points, 4.1 assists and 2.8 boards in 884 games (530 starts) with five teams. He won an NBA championship with Denver Nuggets in 2022-23.

The 76s also dealt with KJ Martin and two second round elections (2027 and 2031) for Detroit Pistons for cash considerations.

Martin, 24, average 6.4 points and 3.0 rebounds in 24 games (seven starts) this season for Philadelphia. He owns a career average of 8.7 points and 4.1 boards in 290 games (68 starts) with Houston Rockets (2020-23), Los Angeles Clippers (2023) and Sixers.
