Reports: Pistons Trade for Veteran Guard Dennis Schröder

A day after being included in the Jimmy Butler -Blockbuster trade, Dennis Schröder will be on the go again. Per. More reportsSchröder moves on from Utah Jazz – who got him in the reported trade on Wednesday night – to Detroit Pistons.

Sixers announced that they are trading KJ Martin and two future choices in the second round for the stamps of cash considerations. Per Jake FischerThe stamps will then treat Martin, Josh Richardson (who was also included in the Butler trade) and a 2028 second round of choices for jazz. Richardson will reportedly be waived.

The stamps mark the ninth NBA team in Schröder’s career and the fourth team he was part of this season. Schröder began 2024-25 with Brooklyn Nets, and was then traded for Golden State Warriors on December 15 and was treated for jazz in the Butler trade on Wednesday.

He an average of 14.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 5.5 assists this season and will act as a backup to All-Star Guard Cade Cunningham in Detroit after playing a similar role in the Golden State behind All-Star Stephen Curry. The pistons (25-26) are in the thick of the eastern conference playoff hunt and are a game behind Miami Heat for No. 6 Seeds.

Martin is a regular player in the 76ers’ rotation, an average of 6.4 PPG and 3 RPG, while shooting 61.6% overall and 38.1% on 3-Pointers. In Utah he joins a frontcourt that includes former All-Star Lauri Markkanen, John Collins, Svi Mykhailiuk and Brice Sensabaugh.

Richardson has seen his statistics fall in 2024-25 to 4 PPG, 1.5 RPG Ane 1.5 APG after sending 9.9 ppg, 2.8 RPG and 2.4 Acts as a solid rotation player for the heat.
