When it was time to film certain scenes of her new film, Brianne Howey withdrew from her own experiences in real life.

“Amy (Schumer) called me the night before and said, ‘Why is no one talking about their birth stories?’ So that’s what we did, ”HOWEY remembered. “So the next day we went to sit down and it’s actually my real birth story.”

“So it was a really intimate, kind of at the moment felt a little risky, but very sure at the same time because it was just me and Amy,” she shared about her Costar Amy Schumer. “And I’m so grateful to her for wanting to swing and really go big with that scene.”

In the scene, Howey’s character is reminiscent of his birth history and said, “Everything went wrong. I started bleeding a lot. And (my baby) was on my chest so I was actually in the sky. I was so nice. But I guess what happened wasn’t okay. I just lost a lot, a lot of blood. And it was the first time I saw (my husband) Steve scared. ”

Schumer’s character then asks, “Did you think you should suffer, die?” Howey replies, “Maybe.”

Back in early January, Schumer talked to people about filming the movie with Howey and said there was at least one emotional scene she shared with the actress.

“Bri and I filmed a really special intimate scene sitting on the bathroom floor, and it was the most satisfying day to shoot for me as a woman and and artist,” she said. “But don’t get it twisted-you will cry Laugh and watch this movie.”

In June 2023 Howy welcomed his first baby and revealed the news On Instagram. “My whole world was just as sweeter. And less,” she wrote a photo where she was in her hospital bed with the newborn on her chest and a smile on her face.

“Welcome my little love ,” she added.
