Washington State hires Elizabeth Cantwell as New University President

It was reported this afternoon That Washington State University announced the latest president – Elizabeth Cantwell!

Or as some might call her, Betsy.

Cantwell brings a refreshing background to the WSU that goes north from Utah State (a future new friend) where she had been president since August 2023. And her list of accolades leading to this role is nothing short of amazing.

I use all the big words above because Cantwell received her BA in human behavior from the University of Chicago, where she started at the fresh age of 16, according to our friends over to Cougfan. She has a Ph.D. In Machine Technology from Cal (WOW) and an MBA in Finance & Entrepreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania Wharon School, which I am full government nesting because of the level of implementation it is. She has worked for the Department of Defense, focusing on financial development, and she debuted at Collegiate SFHere at Arizona State University.

While what led her to higher oaths, it could seem unconventional, as we sometimes know the best solutions come from the unlike places. Cantwell will bring a well of new perspectives and probably implement positive and exciting changes in Washington State Ecosystem. Welcome, Elizabeth! Tell us when we have earned ‘Betsy’ privileges please.
