Minnesota Wild claims earlier Nashville — Raised

Minnesota Wild added a new one forward to their NHL program list thanks to the exception of the exception. After the Nashville predators placed the veteran wing Vinnie Hinostroza on exceptions, The Wild jumped on the available player and claimed him.

The Wild now has another forward with NHL experience to add to their lineup. The team has been looking for more scoring stance in the last few weeks. The wild misses the superstar Kirill Kaprizov when he comes from the operation on an lower body injury and their offense is in bad shape. The addition of Hinostroza is not a one-to-one compensation for Kaprizov, but it gives the team some options when pushing through a tough stretch of games.

Hinostroza has played in 13 games during the 2024-2025 campaign so far. In these competitions, he has accumulated zero dimensions and two assists, while on average 11:32 minutes of ice age.

30-year-old Hinostroza is a NHL veteran with a stop at several organizations. Last season he played 14 NHL matches with Pittsburgh Penguins and spent the rest of the campaign with the team’s American Hockey League -associated company.

Before that, he spent two seasons with Buffalo Sabres. During his term of office in Buffalo, he recorded one of his best offensive campaigns. Over 62 games played in 2021-2022, Hinostroza scored 13 goals and added 12 assists for 25 points.

His career best season came with Arizona Coyotes back in 2018-2019. When he played in 72 games and average over 15 minutes of ice time, he scored 16 goals and added 23 assists to finish with 39 points.

Now he gets the opportunity to impress with nature. He should receive a hefty opportunity for ice cream time, while Kaprizov stays out, and with the team trying to hang in their place in the Central Division and Western Conference playoffs, Hinostroza can hopefully find a burst of productivity to help Wild.
