At best, Celtics will trade around the margins and they have been watching a handful of players.

Celtics may not take a big step, but one of their trade goals has become available through the acquisition market.

A blockbuster trade went down on Sunday involving Chicago Bulls, Sacramento Kings and San Antonio Spurs. One of the players who wants to look for a new home is Torrey Craig, Celtics’ potential trade goals.

Chicago Bulls waived Torrey Craig and guard Chris Duarte. Chicago had to clear two security spaces as part of the 3-team trade that sent de’aaron Fox to San Antonio Spurs, Zach Lavine to Sacramento Kings and three Jones, Zach Collins and Kevin Harer to Bulls.

Craig was a janitor that was waived by Bulls as they had to open a few extra spots for two of their three trade acquisitions in Kevin Harter, Zach Collins and three Jones.

The 34-year-old Craig had been sidelined since the end of December due to a rather ankle sprain, but he participated in the Bulls’ shot before Sunday’s loss to the stamps and could be returning to full health.

Craig Average 6.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.7 three-Pointers of 12.6 minutes per day. Battle over nine appearances for Bulls before going down with the damage.

If Celtics decides to take a flyer on Craig, he could be a prominent player on a deep team. The 6-foot-5-wing has shot over 39 percent for the field in the last three seasons and could be a potential upgrade option for the C’s at the end of the bench.

Craig would be a big veteran addition to Celtics. He has played in 75 playoff matches since 2018, including 19 starts Stints with Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets.

The 34-year-old played last December 30 against Charlotte Hornets. In this game he recorded 18 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal of 21 minutes of action.

Celtics is in a good place, with or without an addition to the schedule. They are 20 games over .500 in addition to the season’s halfway point with a 35-15 record.

They are among the top of many defensive and offensive locations in the league. Celtics is a fantastic team and is still among the favorites to win the title in 2025.
