Elton John throws ‘nightmare’ tantrum, breaking down in tears while shooting new album

Elton John launched in an explosively filled tantrum while recording his new album “Who believes in Angels?” with Brandi Carlile.

Wednesday the 77-year-old music icon Released the trailer For the short film “Who believes in Angels? Stories on the edge of creation,” which gives fans a sincere look behind the scenes of how the album came together in just 20 days. In the video, the singer-songwriter was seen in a studio when he collided with record producer Andrew Watt, one of his four partners about the project, including Carlile and John’s long-time lyricist Bernie Taupin.

“Are you ready to record?” Watt asked John, who “the rocket man” Hitmaker broke, “I’m sitting here, I’m not?”

As the clip continued, John was seeing growing more and more frustrated. In a voiceover, the five-time winner of the Grammy Award, who had recently ended his farewell yellow brick road tour with a performance at Glastonbury Festival, “The reality is, I was exhausted. I was a lot of doubt … and I was a nightmare.

“Angry. I was tired. I was irritable,” he added.

At one point in the video, Watt told John, “Dude, I’m just trying to make the song as well as it can be. You’re so impatient.”

“F — ing nightmares!” John exclaimed while tossing his headphones down on his keyboard.

He remembered in a voiceover that there was “tension in the studio.”

Carlile, 43, who previously said she had “idolized” John since she was 11, explained that she began to have her own doubts about the collaboration.

“Elton is prone to moments of uncertainty,” she said. “Especially where the effort is high.”

“I have a hard time connecting to Elton,” admittedly the History “singer. “There were times I thought, ‘Why will he do this? Why? Why does he go from Glastonbury to make an album with me?'”

“And I thought, ‘I don’t want to do it,'” John said in a voiceover when he was then seen ripping notes while sitting on a keyboard.

“I’m done,” he said to Watt who protested, “No, man. Elton.”

“Cut the microphones,” Watt told the production herd, filming the footage behind the scenes.

John continued to say he felt he couldn’t give up the album at the time because “other people were involved.”

As the video continued, tension in the studio began to ease when John found his groove.

“The fog began to lift,” John said. “And when we first got started – Jesus!”

“Finally, it all started to flow,” he added.

The mood of the four seemed to ease as they fell into synchronization while collaborating on songs.

“It wasn’t easy, which is a place where so much music came from,” Carlile noted.

Cut cut to a brilliant watt that said to John, “Do you know what you just did? Kicked some f — ing a–!”

“Pretty damn well,” John said with a smile.

In a voiceover, John opened up how he would push himself creatively with the album.

“I would play better. Sing better. Write better and challenge myself at the age I am,” he said.

“For 50-Plus years, we’ve never made a record like this,” said Taupin, who has been working with John since 1967.

“Brandi really pushed me. Pushing me, pushing me,” John said.

Earlier in the video, John explained why he was looking for a collaboration with Carlile, who received the 11 Grammy Awards, to Emmy Awards and an Oscar nomination.

“When I met her, I fell in love with her and I just thought she had the most amazing voice. I knew I would find her inspiring and I knew she would find me inspiring, ”he remembered.

Carlile later celebrated how the project turned out. “We made an album that I think is spectacular for all ages,” she said. “My life has taken me to this album all the time.”

John Gyste that “Who believes in angels?” was “immaculate.”

“This came out, as I wanted it to come out,” he said as he collapsed in tears on the keyboard when Carlile gave him a comforting hug.

“This has (has) never happened to me throughout my career,” John added.

“Who believes in angels?” must be released on April 4th.
