LeBron James has been compared to Michael Jordan practically since the moment James entered the NBA as the first election in the 2003 draft.

Over 20 years later, James MJ joined an exclusive club on Thursday night and just became the second player in the NBA story after Jordan to score over 40 points in a game of 40 years old.

James, who turned 40 on December 30, set an impressive line of 42 points, 17 rebounds, eight assists with a steal and a block in Los Angeles Lakers‘120-112 victory over the Golden State Warriors. He is now the oldest player who has ever recorded a 40-point game.

Jordan scored 43 points in a Washington Wizard’s victory over New Jersey Nets on February 21, 2003, four days after his 40th anniversary. MJ withdrew too well after the season.

James was asked about the implementation after the game.

“What do I think? That I’m old,” James said with a laugh, adding that he “needs a glass of wine and some sleep.”

James said that moments like this are “always humble.”

“I love the game so much, so it’s pretty cool,” James said.

The victory was Lakers’ fourth in a row, and they may soon get Luka Doncic into the set -up for the first time. Warriors Star Steph Curry scored 37 points in the loss.
