The storm that began as snow before switching to gossip and then freezing rain in some areas created dangerous conditions for drivers and pedestrians on Thursday.

The influence of the storm varied throughout the region. While New York City primarily so gossip and some snow, areas north and west saw several inches of snow.

What is the next one:

The system will quickly end before Thursday and leaves mainly dry conditions in the wake of Thursday night and Friday. However, another winter storm could affect many of these same areas over the weekend.

This storm will reach the northeast Saturday night and produce another round of snow, gossip and freezing rain.
