Eagles RB Saquon Barkley named 2024 AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year

Saquon Barkley’s canter to 2,000 earned Philadelphia Eagles, Nfl Honor At the Saenger Theater.

When he got used to in his first year with Eagles, Barkley ended the vote with plenty of distance between him and others who collected 35 first places and 406 points. Ravens Quarterback Lamar Jackson (183 points) placed number two, followed by Bengal’s wide receiver Ja’marr Chase (171), Ravens, who runs back Derrick Henry (92) and Bengals QB Joe Burrow (78).

Barkley generated 2,005 rushing yards and became the ninth player in the NFL story with 2,000 plus rushing yards in one season. He sat out in week 18 despite being only 101 meters shy to break the single-season record that Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson (2,105 in 1984).

Barkley carried all the running backs in yards, carries (345) and yards per. Fight (125.3). If it wasn’t for a strange tendency to be tackled inside the 1-yard line, he would also have generated more than 13 touchdowns this season (eighth most).

The 27-year-old generated +549 rushing yards over expected this season per year. NEX +395).

In 16 regular seasonal matches, Barkley was held less than 100 meters, which was rushed only five times. He also had five matches of 150 plus rushing yards to balance the scales. The only time he went under the 50-yard brand of the season was a 47-yard output in week 6 against Cleveland.

Adding 278 receiving yards ended Barkley with 2,283 scrimmage yards, the most in the NFL (Derrick Henry was second with 2.114). Running Back accounted for 34.8% of Eagles’ Scrimmage yards in 2024, the highest rate for any team and the only player over 30 percent.

Like a boxer with a quick jab and devastating finishing, Barkley Pepper Defense would defense with three-to-five-yard winnings before jumping off for massive sprints. He generated 17 races at 20-Plus Yards and a League-high seven 40-plus-yards. His 82 rushing First Downs ranked in third place among all backs, and his 5.8 yards per year. Attempt ended in second place (Henry; 5.9).

When he became a draft of No. 2 of New York Giants, no one questioned Barkley’s talent, even though he hammered away behind a Big Big Blue Offensive Line. However, playing behind the best O-Line in the NFL has brought Barkley out of the darkness and into the streaming sun.

His combination of speed and elusivity behind Eagle’s offensive line was deadly. Barkley got 829 yards before contacting this season, over 200 meters more than the next closest run back (Jahmyr Gibbs, 615).

A season of 2,000 yard brought Barkley a piece of hardware on Thursday night. On Sunday, he hopes to lift a bigger price when Hans Eagles face Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl Lix.
