Weather-related delays, Cancellations in Tri-State to 5-6 February 2025

The following cancellations and delays have been announced for Wednesday 5 February 2025 and Thursday 6 February 2025 due to bad weather.

Postponements and cancellations

City of Hagerstown Residential Trash and Recycling Typically collected Thursday and Friday will be delayed by one day this week. Thursday’s pickup will now be on Friday and Friday’s pickup will now happen on Saturday.
Washington County Public Schools is closed on Thursday. Code Orange for WCPS employees.
All Diagnostic imaging services Locations are opened at. 10 Thursday.
Washington County Circuit Court Will have a delayed opening at. 10 Thursday with all docks starting at. 10.30pm
Hagerstown Community College opens at. 10 Thursday.
Frederick (Md.) Community College‘s main and monroe campuses open and classes start at. 11 Thursday. Students must check Blackboard and E email for instructor updates.
Truth Christian Academy is closed on Thursday.
Jefferson County (w.va.) schools (Pre-K to 12) and offices work on a two-hour delay Thursday due to the weather forecast. The school system officials will continue to monitor and evaluate relationships all evening and morning and communicate any change at 1 p.m. 7 to families.
Shepherd Universitythat closed at. 17 Wednesday due to expected weather, has been canceled all Wednesday evening classes and activities. The university opens at. 11 Thursday.
GreenCastle-Antrim (Pa.) School District has canceled JV games for Wednesday night due to travel restrictions and pending weather. GreenCastle-Antrim buildings will be closed on Thursday, which will be a flexible instruction day. The latter decision is due to unpredictable road conditions and elevated illnesses in school buildings. School buildings undergo a deep clean Thursday. Tasks will be sent at. 9
Waynesboro area (Pa.) School District will be closed and operate on a virtual learning day to Thursday. Students and families must follow the schedules provided by the building principles. The secondary instruction day begins at 1 p.m. 8:30 pm, and the basic instruction day begins at 1 p.m.
The Chambersburg area (Pa.) School District is closed Thursday.
Washington County Transit Will operate in a delayed schedule with service that starts at. 12.15 on Thursday to secure passengers and the safety of the staff.
Frederick County (Md.) Public Schools is closed on Thursday. Offices open at a two-hour delay. If relevant or appropriate, the staff have the option of taking liberal leave or telecommunications work after discussing with their supervisor. All FCPs and community group after-school and evening activities are canceled or postponed. School -based daycare programs, community school providers and parks and recreation programs in the school’s gyms make and communicate decisions about their schedules. Emergency employees must report as instructed by their supervisor.
Morgan County (w.va.) schools Works with a two-hour delay for students on Thursday. Employees follow Reporting Code D.
Berkeley County (w.va.) schools (Prek-12) Works on a two-hour delay Thursday. The school system officials monitor road conditions in the morning.
Tuscarora (Pa.) School District Schools and offices are closed Thursday.
Washington County government Works on a two-hour delay Thursday. Liberal leave will be in effect until 1 p.m. 10 for non -essential employees. Significant staff are expected to report as planned.
St. Joseph School In Martinsburg, W.Va., works on a two-hour delay on Thursday. Pre-school care begins at 1 p.m. 9, and doors will be opened to students at. 9:55 that will not be a breakfast. There will be no morning bus connection.
Letterkenny Army Depot In Pennsylvania, Wednesday will operate on Wednesday during normal opening hours for first-change staff. Second shift staff will be released four hours early Wednesday and third shift operations are closed. For Thursday, the Army Depot opens under a two-hour delayed arrival at first-change staff.
The university system in Maryland in Hagerstown opens at. 11 Thursday. Officials will reassess the morning and make the necessary adjustments.
The Eastern Panhandle (W.VA.) Transit AuthorityFrom Wednesday evening and leading in Thursday, working on a route delay with the first route bus leaving the train station at 1 p.m. 07.45 Thursday.
Blue Ridge Community and Technical College In Martinsburg, W.Va., opens at. 11 Thursday. If travel is unsafe at your place, external work/instruction is available. Students, contact instructor for help. Employees, contact supervisor for events.
Mount St. Mary’s University Opens at. 10 Thursday, after Alternative Class Schedule B.
