Pro Football Hall of Fame to Enshrine Fire in class 2025

Congratulations to the Pro Football Hall of Fame class in 2025, presented by Visual Edge IT, and shown on Image.

Enshrinement scheduled for August 2nd in Canton

Four of the “Largest of the Game” were selected for Pro Football Hall of Fame’s class in 2025. Halls 49-person selection committee met almost in January to complete its annual vote.

The class in 2025, presented by Visual Edge IT, was announced under “NFL HONORS, presented by Invisalign,” a two-hour Primetime Awards special that was sent national tonight on the NFL Network and Fox and streamed on NFL+. The newest members of Pro Football Hall of Fame are defensive back Eric Allen, Defensive end Jared Allen, tight end Antonio Gates and wide receiver Sterling Sharpe.

Sterling Sharpe and Shannon Sharpe Become the first brothers selected for Pro Football Hall of Fame. Three Father-Sun-Tandems are enshrined: Tim Mara and Wellington Mara, Art Rooney Sr. and Dan Rooney, and Ed Sabol and Steve Sabol.

While a class of four is the smallest since 2005, this number has not been uncommon. This is the 19th time in Hall of Fame’s history, a class is composed of three or four Enshrinees since the first four-person class was elected in 1970.

Eric Allen and Jared Allen learned about their choices when another Hall of Famer knocked on the door to their homes. Gates and Sharpe experienced a “reverse knock” – appeared in a place where a Hall of Famer was waiting to deliver the news. These four meetings can be seen on Saturday, February 8, when the NFL Network debuts a 30-minute special “Hall of Fame Knocks: Class of 2025” at. 22 et.

The annual selection meeting limited the long selection process by 2025. The newly elected Hall of Famers was selected from a list of 20 finalists who had been determined over the last several months by the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s selection committee and three smaller committees narrowing Respective lists in the separate coaches, contributors and seniors.

This final step in the selection process for the class in 2025 was completed with supervision by the company Ernst & Young LLP, a Hall partner since 2019. EYS agreed procedures included validation of the voting’s completeness and tab of the ballots in accordance with the articles of association established by the Hall of Fame’s board.

Hall of Fame’s membership, including the newly elected class, is now at 382.

The class in 2025 presented by Visual Edge IT will be laid out on Saturday, August 2, at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton. Tickets for closure will be sold in the coming weeks. Weekend packages are now available from on site. (See below for more information).

The other finalists this year were Willie Anderson, Jahri Evans, Torrry Holt, Luke Kuechly, Eli Manning, Steve Smith Sr., Terrell Suggs, Fred Taylor, Adam Vinatieri, Reggie Wayne, Darren Woodson and Marson Yanda.

During the selection meeting, the list of 15 finalists was cut to 10, then to 7 before the final vote.
