Glencliff High School placed on card lockdown

Nashville, Tenn. (WSMV) – Glencliff High School in Nashville was placed on a short lock Friday morning for the possibility of a weapon on campus.

A spokesman for Metro Nashville Public Schools said an employee reported on overhearing students talking about a weapon on campus and warning the school’s resource manager. A student was placed and searched and no weapon was found, according to MNPs.

Another involved student was identified but turned out to have left the classroom without permission and the school was placed on Lockdown while the SROs were working to find the student.

The other student was quickly found and no weapon was discovered.

The lock was lifted after it was decided that there was no actual threat to school. Glencliff has resumed normal operations, MNPs confirmed.
