Another round with snow closes schools Wednesday

Many schools across kitsap were closed for a third equal day Wednesday due to night over snow, with more expected to arrive during the day, according to the National Weather Service.

A winter weather advice is in effect until Thursday morning, according to NWS, with snow -covered conditions expected all afternoon to Wednesday night.

Bremerton, Central Kitsap, North Kitsap, South Kitsap, Bainbridge Island and North Mason school districts have all announced that classes will be canceled on Wednesday. All Olympic college branches are also closed. The South Kitsap School District had originally announced a two -hour delayed start.

Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & IMF restricts operations for all shifts today, and the Trident Refit system in Bangor is on the normal schedule. The USS Ronald Reagan command also announced a two-hour delay. In the afternoon, Naval Base Kitsap announced that all NBK installations will work under only missionary staff beginning at 1 p.m. 15 Wednesday and until 7 p.m. 9 Thursday.

Kitsap County offices and the courthouse remain open on normal schedule.

The South Kitsap School District Board and Poulsbo City Council have both canceled meetings scheduled for Wednesday evening.

Serious weather shelves in kitsap remain open Wednesday night for residents to get out of the cold. Three shelters will be open from 1 p.m. 18 to 7, except in Kingston, where the hours are at. 18:30 until 7 p.m. 06:30
