WWE reportedly releases Blair Davenport as part of the running round with mass cuts

WWE seems to be engaging in a new round of mass talent shells that began late Friday night, and according to both Pwinsides and FightfulThe latest victim is Blair Davenport.

If the reports from the two businesses are accurate, Davenport ends her WWE -career less than a year after being called up to the main list from “WWE NXT” in April 2024. Fightful Select reports that it “There have not been creative plans for her since her call-up,” A claim that matches her limited reservation – Davenport fought only five “smackdown” matches and won only one of them as part of her short feud with naomi. She also fought on an episode of “WWE Speed.” Her last match came on November 22 episode of “Smackdown”, where she lost a first round match in the tournament to crown the first woman master ever (she was defeated by the possible winner Chelsea Green). Davenport previously enjoyed a successful independent career, especially as part of the World Wonder Ring Star Status, and fighting notes that she is expected to receive worldwide attention as a free agent. She recently married “NXT” star Riley Osbourne and was seen behind the stage at TNA advance.

Davenport’s name is now added to Sonya Deville, the authors of Pain, Paul Ellering, Cedric Alexander and Duke Hudson when the latest WWE talent releases. She is also added to the list of bad calls in the 2024 WWE draft that saw more “WWE NXT” stars cause main list calls only to be released or not used, including Baron Corbin, Indi Hartwell, Tegan Nox, Dijak, Odyssey Jones and Kiana James.
