Southwest Pa. During an ice storm warning until noon

An Ice Storm warning was issued by National Weather Service on Saturday at. 02.51, which was valid from 1 p.m. 13 to Sunday at. 1 for Westmoreland Ridges, Fayette Ridges and higher heights of Indiana.

The weather service states, “Significant glaze is expected. Total sneak cumulations of less than an inch and isaccumulations up to three tenths of an inch.”

“Roads, and especially bridges and transitions, are likely to be smooth and dangerous. Power cuts and wooden damage is likely to be due to ice. Travel can be almost impossible,” the weather service describes. “People should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should be very careful if the journey is absolutely necessary.
