Dallas Mavericks allegedly played a game for Phoenix Suns Superstar tips Kevin Durant before Thursday’s NBA trading deadline.

“I was told that Mavericks were very aggressive, as late as Wednesday, tried to find other teams to get involved so they could make the math work and bring Kevin Durant to Dallas. Obviously there’s no coming something to perform there. ” And @Ianbegley

Mavericks earlier the biggest trade of the season last weekend when they sent superstar guard Luka Dončić, Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris to Los Angeles Lakers to Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a 2029 first round election.

Trading Prat that involved Durant began to pick up this week, especially when Suns released him for Wednesday’s game against Oklahoma City Thunder because of an ankle stew.

Golden State Warriors were among the teams assumed to be most at Durant but ESPN’s Shams Charania and Ohm YoungMisuk Reported Wednesday that KD had “no desire” to return to a Golden State team he played with from 2016 to 2019.

With Warriors out of the race, nothing was done on Deadline Day, and Suns eventually decided to keep Durant.

Durant, 36, was acquired by Suns via trade with Brooklyn Nets in the 2022-23 season. Suns later acquired Bradley Beal from Washington Wizards as well, giving Phoenix a core of Durant, Beal and Devin Booker.

There were huge expectations for this group to take the Western conference by storm, but Suns fell in the first round of the playoffs last season and is only 25-25 so far this season.

Durant’s acting has been the smallest of Suns’ problems as the 15-time all-star, four-time scoring champion, two-time NBA champion, two-time NBA final MVP and disposable NBA MVP are an average of 26.9 points , 6.1 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2.4 three-pointers made and 1.3 blocks per Match.

It is unclear what Mavs would have separated into a trade for Durant and his salary of $ 51.1 million, but a deal may have included a combination of Klay Thompson, PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford.

But with Durant staying in Phoenix for now, Mavs is moving forward with the superstar duo by Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving, surrounded by a supportive role of Thompson, Washington, Gafford, Christie, Caleb Martin and Naji Marshall.

When Doncic and Irving led the road last season, Mavericks went all the way to the NBA final and fell to Boston Celtics in five games.

Dallas might have been the favorite of the Western conference with a triumvirate of Davis, Irving and Durant, but the front office couldn’t convince Suns to make the deal happen.

Even with the schedule that is, Mavs undoubtedly has a chance to make some noise in the West, and they must be able to improve their 26-25 record when Davis, Irving and Co. is on the track together.
