WWE releases 7 superstars in massive watch list – who’s out?

WWE has reportedly completed a massive sweep, resulting in release or separation of six superstars. The coward seemed to start on the 4th of February with the release of Duke Hudson who confirmed his departure on social media.

Friday night right in front of the broadcast of SmackdownSix other superstars allegedly learned that their current period with WWE was ending: Sonya Deville, Cedric Alexander, Akam and Rezar (alias AOP), Blair Davenport and Paul Ellering.

In case you missed the results of Friday evening episode of smackdown, here they are:

Bianca Belair Def. Piper Nive | Elimination Chamber Qualifier

Pretty deadly def. DIY

Drew McIntyre Def. La Knight and Jimmy Uso | Elimination Chamber Qualifier

Carmelo Hayes def. Akira Tozawa

Alexa Bliss Def. Candice Lerae | Elimination Chamber Qualifier

Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes Def. Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga

Fightful News Confirmed Deville’s status. According to reports, Deville was not released, but she was informed that her contract, which expires in a few weeks, will not be renewed.

As a result of WWE’s decision, Deville will immediately become a free agent at the end of his contract and will be eligible to sign with another organization immediately.

Alexander confirmed his release On social media.

Because he was released while still under contract, he has to wait 90 days before signing elsewhere.

AOP, Davenport and Ellering have not recognized the news in public but both Wrestling observer and Fightful reports that the four artists have been released.

Hudson struggled to make a big step beyond his place with chase u on NXT. While he has always had the look and the persona needed for height, things did not click for him with WWE. Hudson confirmed his release with an entertaining self -interview, which suggested that he was ready for a reinvention moving forward.

WWES WAGE CLOSE broke up two factions. Devilles Pure Fusion Collective was always a weird mix with her, Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler. Deville easily carried the most presence and seemed to be the best overall artist.

However, Stark’s Athletics makes her a promising artist who goes on. Baszler has been lost ever since her queen of Spar runs in NXT ended and she was called up to WWE.

She seemed to have a chance to regain Momentum with Ronda Rusey, but when the feud was over – which then Rousey put her over on the way out – Baszler went back to being under -utilized.

The last will is no more with AOP and Ellering leaving. Their grouping with Karrion Kross and Scarlett never started. I have talked to someone with ears to the ground in the promotion who suggest that several releases could be on the way.

Keep an eye on more updates on the WWE program list as we enter the thick way to Wrestlemania 41.
