Election results in Delhi: Winners

1. PM MODI and BJP
BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi swept the election in the Delhi assembly with a pleasant majority.

Delhi selection results 2025

This victory marks the third major election success for BJP in the last four months after winning the states of Haryana and Maharashtra. With this, the 27 years exile of BJP in Delhi is also an end. This great victory also indicates the approval of the middle class to the Modi government’s great tax relief in the Union’s budget 2025 last week has approved the middle class consumers.
With this, PM Modi once again shows to be a star campaign for BJP.
2. Parvesh Verma
In a fight with high efforts for the New Delhi assembly seat, BJP leader Parvesh Verma appeared as a huge killer by defeating former Delhi Chief of Art Arvind Kejriwal with 4,089 seats.
The son of the former CM SaBib Singh Verma, Parvesh was handed over to take on Kejriwal, who has stayed to the seat last three times. In 2013, Kejriwal had emerged as a Giant Slayer by defeating that time CM and Congress Veteran Sheila Dixit.
After deterring the three-time cm, Verma is also in a strong competitor for the top post.
3. Tarvinders Singh Marwah
BJP -Leader Tarvinder Singh Marwah appeared like another giant killer when he defeated the former deputy cm and AAP Senior Manager Manish Sisodia. Marwah defeated three-time MLA Sisodia to win Jangpura Seat by 675 votes. Sisodia had changed seats from Patparganj to Jangpura this time in the hope of a pleasant victory.
Marwah, who was in Congress for a long time and chose three-time MLA from Jangpura, had switched to BJP in 2022 after complaining about not having time with Sonia and Rahul Gandhi for a meeting.
4. Atishi
As the heavy weights from the Aam Aadmi party fell one by one, Atishi stood high and won the Kalkaji assembly seat. In a competition with high efforts, Atishi won with 3,521 votes that defeated BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri and Congress’s Alka Lamba.
“I thank people in Kalkaji for showing confidence in me. I congratulate my team working against ‘Baahubal’,” said Atishi.
“We accept people’s mandate. I’ve won, but it’s not a time to celebrate, but continue the ‘war’ against BJP,” said the 43-year-old.
Her victory is a prominence for AAP as its top leaders Arvind Kejriwal and former Delhi Secondary CM Manish Sisodia lost their constituencies.
With the defeat served to Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, Atishi can now also take responsibility as head of opposition in the Delhi assembly.
5. Sandeep Dikshit
The Congress Leader may have lost the competition today, but he has definitely emerged as ‘Baazigar’ in this voting season. Son of Veteran Congress leader and three-time cm Sheila Dikshit, Sandeep got his ultimate revenge against Arvind Kejriwal today.
Although he did not win the New Delhi seat, he managed to eat in to Kejriwal’s voices, which eventually led to the AAP chief’s defeat.
It was a matter of prestige for Sandeep that finally got a ticket from New Delhi, his mother’s bastion, who had been the fortress of Kejriwal since 2013.

Election results in Delhi: Losers

6. KEJRIWAL
It’s no surprise there. The top of this list is AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal. The politician, who rose to power as an anti-graft cross-hazard, was involved in corruption cases.
After leaving jail against bail, Kejriwal withdrew from the top post and sought validation from the public in Delhi. However, the Union’s territory refused to give the stamp ‘Mr. Clean ‘to Kejriwal.
AAP suffered a big battle this choice and now has to look at ways to reinvent himself.
7. Manish Sisodia
Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and second in command of AAP, Sisodia, also faced defeat against BJP candidate Tarvinder Singh Marwah in the Jangpura election circle.
After previously serving as a three-year-old MLA from Patparganj in East Delhi, he chose to compete from Jangpura in this election.
Following his arrest in 2023 over alleged corruption in spirits policy case, Sisodia was imprisoned for about 18 months until he secured bail. Like Kejriwal’s attitude, he refused to accept a state attitude before receiving “people’s judgment”.
However, Delhi decided to give him another chance this time.
8. AAM AADMI -fest
After controlling Delhi for a decade, AAP faced a significant anti-inciscuCycy and lost the election to BJP. This is the first time since the start of AAP not wanting the power in Delhi.
With the Delhi loss, AAP is now only in power in Punjab. With this, the party’s national expansion plan has hit a roadblock.
The party will now have to re -group and reorganize itself as it is now in opposition in Delhi.
9. Congress
The Congress Party has registered its third consecutive blank at the election in the Delhi Assembly and marked a sharp contrast to its previous dominance when it steered the capital for 15 consecutive years from 1998 to 2013.
Delhi’s voter has consistently rejected the party in three consecutive choices of assemblies.
After snapping alliance with AAP for the choice of Delhi, Congress mounted a confident campaign with former party president Rahul Gandhi, who led by the criticism against Arvind Kejriwal.
Despite these efforts, the party failed to secure some constituencies in Delhi. Their only minor comfort lies in achieving a modest improvement in the voting share and increasing by approx. 2% from the previous figure of less than 5% in the 2020 election.
10. India block
Omar Abdullah’s X -post caught the mood of India Block Today – ‘Aur Lado Aapas Mein’. Jibe came as Aap and Congress fought against each other, who eventually benefited from BJP.
With the bitter and ugly fight and AAP’s any losses in Delhi, the focus is now, if it is an end to the India block.
The AAP defeat also comes as an embarrassment for the Trinamool Congress and Samajwadi Party, which actively fought for AAP in Delhi.
Remarkable mention: Rahul Gandhi
While Congress may not have been able to open her account in Delhi again, Rahul Gandhi cannot be put on the list of losers. Rahul, who personally took responsibility for Dent Kejriwal’s image during the election campaign, succeeded in his mission.
The defeat also limits AAP within India Bloc, which had the ability to challenge Congress’s position as a national party. The Delhi battle also gives Congress a little immunity within the block, where Allies SP, TMC, Sena (UBT) chose Kejriwal’s party over Congress.
