According to National Weather Service (NWS) by Gray, MaineA fast -moving storm system traveling from the Great Lakes region brings widespread sharply snowfall to New Hampshire. While the trail of the storm is not entirely safe, several inches of accumulation are possible, especially in the southern part of the state.

Here’s what to know about the timing and location of this weekend’s blizzard in New Hampshire.

When will the snow in the NH this weekend?

NWS predicts that Snow starts around 1 p.m. 7 pm Saturday evening in southern New Hampshire, traveling up the state and starts in northern New Hampshire after 7 p.m. 1 Sunday morning.

Snow will continue to fall sharply overnight and into the next day ending in New Hampshire around 10 p.m. 13 on Sunday. Due to moderate to heavy snowfall, NWS warns that driving conditions will be dangerous with low visibility for the duration of the storm.

How much snow does NH get this weekend?

While accumulation satals for Saturday’s snow are uncertain due to the rapid nature of the storm, NWS is convinced that the southern areas of New Hampshire are likely to see the highest quantities, with 6 to 8 inches possible.

The middle part of the state will look 4 to 6 inches, with Northern Coos County looking at just an inch or two.

Currently, NWS has issued a Winter Storm Watch to only southern New Hampshire, including cities such as Portsmouth, Manchester, Nashua and Keene. As the storm progresses, the counseling may be released to include more of the state.
