Paramount breaks some events including CMT Music Awards and MTV EMAs

Paramount Global – which has accepted a merger with David Ellison’s Skydance Media, which is expected to close in the first half of this year – hits the break at selected events in 2025, including the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAS) and CMT Music Awards, to reintroduce, to reintroduce, What they can look like in the future and “optimize” its tent pole strategy.

The break does not affect VMAS and Kids’ Choice Awards in the United States as well as such local events as the Isle of MTV Malta and VMAJS, according to sources familiar with the situation. It was not immediately clear when a decision on the future of the events affected by the move would be taken.

Paramount has been slimming in several respects in the past year. In August, the conglomerate’s co-administrative director George Cheeks, Brian Robbins and Chris McCarthy revealed a sweeping plan to reduce 15 percent of the company’s US workforce in pursuit of $ 500 million in cost savings. The first of three redundancies took place shortly after that. Among the changes at that time was the Skodden of Paramount TV Studios as well as the departure of a number of high -profile executors.
