Mavericks’ Anthony Davis goes out in 3rd quarter after dominant debut

Davis had 26 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks in 31 minutes of action in Dallas’ win on Saturday.

Dallas (AP) -Anthony Davis made his debut with Dallas Mavericks cut off shortly after maintaining an injury late in the third quarter of Dallas’ 116-105 win over Houston on Saturday.

Davis came to Mavericks in Seismic Trade Luka Dončiċ sent it to Los Angeles Lakers. One of the many criticisms of the trade was Davis’ history of injuries.

The 31-year-old missed two matches with Lakers before the Blockbuster deal due to an abdominal tribe, and he sat the first two matches with Mavericks after participating in the team on a five-game road trip.

Davis went down without contact as the Alps Sangun drove past him for a set -up. He grabbed his groin area as he went slowly towards the offensive end and was in the corner near the Dallas bench while his team ran the violation.

Davis did not try to go back the other way after Rockets regained possession. Mavericks made a mistake to stop the clock and get Davis out of the game. He was briefly in the bench commerce before leaving the court.
