Syracuse (10-13, 4-8 ACC) finishes a two-game homestand on Saturday at JMA Wireless Dome with a clash against Boston College (10-12, 2-9 ACC). Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. 15:15, and the game will be broadcast live on CW.

Syracuse will honor its NCAA Final Four teams on 1974-75 Final Four at the break to celebrate 50Th Anniversary of Orange’s first trip ever to Final Four.

Setting the scene
Orange fell to No. 2 Duke Wednesday at Dome, 83-54. Jyare Davis and JJ Starling the pace of Syracuse with 12 points each with Naheem McLeod Also when double and scored a season-best 10 points. Eddie Lampkin Jr. surpassed 1,000 career points in the defeat.

Last Saturday, Boston College stormed back to Upend Florida State, 77-76, overcoming an eight-point deficit in the last minute of the regulation, which included scoring the last five points in the competition in the last four seconds. Chas Kelley III made the winning 3-point to finish the unlikely comeback. Eagles lost against Louisville at home, 84-58, Wednesday.

Syracuse and Boston College met in Boston on January 11, when Orange chopped a 79-71 triumph on the Conte Forum. Starling led five Syracuse players in double with 26 points.

Boston College is led by the fourth year’s principal coach Earl Grant, who led Eagles to their highest victory in total since 2010-11 last season with 20 wins. He also took Boston College to the second round of NIT a season ago.

Syracuse-Boston College series
Syracuse leads the series against Boston College, 59-27. Orange defeated Eagles earlier this season at the Conte Forum. Last season, the teams shared a few decisions in which Syracuse-winning, 69-59, at Dome and Eagles defend their home ground, 80-75. Before Boston College’s victory last season, Orange had won 11 even meetings between the teams.

Orange is 26-6 against Eagles at Dome and has won 10 even meetings between the teams there. Since Orange joined the ACC, Boston College has only won a game at Dome coming in 2014, when Eagles disturbed No. 1 Syracuse, 66-60, in overtime.

Boston College is Syracuse’s eighth most famous opponent as Saturday will be 87Th Meeting between the teams. Pittsburgh (127 meetings) is the only current ACC member that Orange has been exposed to more than Boston College.

Rematch
Syracuse gathered late in the second half to cut Boston College on the Conte Forum on January 11, 79-71. Subsequently 54-46 with 8:51 to go, the orange competition ended on a 33-17 run to end the comeback bid.

Kyle Cuffe Jr. Scored all 10 of his points in the last 8:33 pm, highlighted by back-to-back 3-pointers to push Syracuse front, 62-58. Orange maintained the lead for the last 4:51 of the game after not having an advantage anytime before in the second half.

Starling lifted Orange with a 20-point effort in the second half, which made 9-of-14 shot attempts after a break. During the last nine minutes of regulation, he went 4-of-6 from the field and 2-of-2 on the free throwing line to help seal the victory.

Five Syracuse players scored in double – Starling (26), Lucas Taylor (15), Davis (12), Lampkin Jr., (10) and Cuffe Jr. (10). Orange shot 58 percent off the field in the second half and committed only five revenue, which is still the fewest in a game for Syracuse this season.

1974-75 Final Four Team Celebration
Syracuse’s team from 1974-75, the first orange team that went on to the NCAA Final Four, will restore to a 50th anniversary on the break on Saturday.

Orange went 20-7 that season and won the regional title in ECAC playoffs to secure an NCAA tournament bid. Syracuse opened the event with an 87-83 victory over La Salle in overtime before knocking North Carolina in the next round after a Jimmy Lee jumper with five seconds left, a 78-76 troubled.

In the regional final, Syracuse won in another overtime game, this time held on to defeat Kansas City, 95-87. Rudy Hackett led Orange with 28 points and 16 rebounds to help secure Syracuse’s first Final Four spot.

Syracuse lost its semi-final to Kentucky, 95-79, despite Lee’s 23 points. LEE Average 23.4 points per Fight during the tournament, the top mark in the postal season.

Starling eclipse 1,000 points
Starling surpassed 1,000 career points in Syracuse’s latest victory in California. The junior guard went into the night with 990 points and hit the 1,000 -mark with a float at the 15:09 mark in the second half. He finished the competition with 18 points.

It took Starling 75 career games to reach the 1,000-point threshold, with the last 47 of the performances coming with Syracuse after spending his first-year campaign on Notre Dame.

After losing seven games earlier this season due to injury, Syracus’s leading goal scorer has registered double in eight of his 10 appearances since joining the lineup. He average 16.2 points per Competition during this span and has reached 20 points on four occasions.

Starling Averaging a team-best 17.6 points per Excursion on the campaign. His 38 points from Orange’s double-over-over-victory against Youngstown State were a career high and the second most of any ACC player in a game this season.

Lampkin climbs up the ladder
Against Pittsburgh on January 25, Lampkin Jr. The first Syracuse player, who spoke 23 rebounds in a game since Derrick Coleman did it against Villanova on March 10, 1990 on Big East Tournament. Only two Syracuse players have taken more rebounds in a single game than Lampkin Jr. – Frank Reddout with 34 against Temple on February 9, 1952 and Dave Bing with 25 against Cornell on February 8, 1966.

Lampkin’s 23-rebound performance is one of the top 10 endeavors on the glass in the Syracuse history. In addition, his 15 defensive rebounds versus Panthers were the sixth most in a single game in Orange History, with the early Syracuse record, sitting on 16. For North Carolina against James Madison on November 20, 2022.

Against Duke on Wednesday, Lampkin Jr. Another career milestone when he became the second Syracuse player in so many games to surpass 1,000 career points and join Starling. Lampkin Jr. reached the brand with a set -up of the 2:05 mark in the first half. After spending the first four seasons in his career at TCU and Colorado, where he made up the first 776 points in his career, he has noted 225 this season with Orange. Lampkin Jr. reached 1,000 points in its 127Th Career looking, of which the last 23 have come with Syracuse.

Lampkin Jr. are an average of 10.6 rebounds during the last 13 competitions and has sent a double-double on five of the last nine excursions. For the season, Lampkin Jr. an average of 9.8 points and 8.9 rebounds per Match.

Reserve contributions
Over the last seven matches, Syracuses reserves are an average of 25.6 points. The Syracuse bench has now outsscored its opponent’s reserves in 17 of the last 18 competitions.


Carlos has delivered a scoring spark from the bench in Syracuses two-game California’s turn, as the guard was an average of 12 per. Competition, highlighted by a 16-point effort against Stanford, where he went 6-of-6 off the field.


The best scoring effort from the orange bench in the last seven excursions came towards Louisville, where Syracuse got 36 points from its bench. Half of these points came from Chris BellFour 3-Pointers knocked on the way to an 18-point evening.



Crashes the glass
As a team, Syracuse grabs 37.6 rebounds per year. Competition, the fourth most in acc. Orange boasts a plus-3.2 margin of the season and has registered double-digit offensive boards 14 times on the campaign, which included 15 offensive boards against Duke on Wednesday.

Three different Syracuse players have drawn 10 or more rebounds into a game this season – Lampkin Jr. (11 times), Freeman (seven times) and Davis (once). Lampkin is third at the conference in rebounding (8.9 per match) and has double -digit boards of nine of the last 12 excursions, while Freeman has hit double in two of his last three appearances.

Scout Boston College
Eagles will attend Saturday after losing seven of their last eight competitions and are 0-5 in real road matches of the season. Donald Hand Jr. is Boston College’s leading goal scorer with 15.7 points per Match. Venning (12.8) and Elijah Strong (10.2) Average also in double. Hand Jr. Eagles led with 20 points in the first meeting against Syracuse, with Venning and Joshua Beadle, both voting 17 against Orange.

Hand Jr. also leads Eagles in 3-point Makes (48) and rebounding (6.6 per match). Beadle’s 47 assists are a team high, Venning has a team best 30 blocks, and Fred Payne has noted a team leading 16 stealing.

Boston College ranks No. 7 in ACC in both 3-point percentage (35.8 percent) and blocks per year. Battle (3.86).

Freeman, Lampkin Jr
Freeman is one of 20 players to produce the list of the forecast for the 2025 Karl Malone Award, who recognizes the supreme power forward in the division of the Basketball. Freeman, a McDonald’s All-American and the second highest Syracuse recruits in the program history, is one of two freshmen doing this year’s Malone Award monitoring list.

Freeman, who has missed the last nine games due to injury, has registered six double doubles on the campaign and is an average of 15.3 points above his last nine appearances. He has scored 15 or more in six games during this stretch.

Lampkin Jr. is one of 20 candidates for monitoring the Forsy Season for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award in 2025, which goes to the top center of Men’s College Basketball. Lampkin Jr. is in his first year of orange and is an average of 9.8 points and 8.9 rebounds per year. Competition with eight double-double.

The list for both prices will be narrowed to 10 at the end of January and then to only five at the end of February. In March, the five finalists at both awards will be presented to Abdul-Jabbar, Malone and Hall of Fame’s selection committee, where the winners will be elected.
