Hot weather then changes changes coming

Phoenix – We came to the top 70s today in the valley and could challenge 80 degrees before Monday. However, cooler air and chances of rain and snow are set to arrive at State 48.

The Super Bowl Sunday contained a decent cloud covering all over the state, some of this will be revered on Monday with a few more sunshine. This can allow the subway to reach 80 degrees in the afternoon.

Elsewhere across the state temperature remains well above average with partially sunny sky. Wind is expected to start picking up Monday along Mogollon Rim and northeast Arizona. This will only reinforce until Tuesday when our first storm system moves in.

The first weak storm system cuts into northern Arizona between Tuesday and Wednesday. This brings temperatures down over the state. The latest model runs brings some snow down to the edge and into the white mountains. It is probably that totals will be about 1-2 inches with some isolated higher totals at higher tops. Snow levels will dip to 3,000 feet on Wednesday morning and rise to almost 5,000 in the evening.

Then a stronger storm will turn to our state towards the end of next week. This will fall temperatures even more with snow showers in the high country and possibly some rain in the valley. So keep up with updates as we get closer.
